Robert Corteen has over 35 years experience of working in both the Public and Private sectors and has been training people regularly since 2002.
Trained both as a Solicitor and Psychiatric Nurse as well as having an Honours degree in Politics and an MSc in Dual Diagnosis (Mental Illness and Addictions), Robert brings a fresh approach to training which adopts practical common sense ideas whilst recognising the reality of the workplace and the pressures to which staff are subject. He is also a member of both the Institute for Learning and Institute of Training and Occupational Learning as well as an approved Mental First Aid (Wales) instructor.
Robert is committed to the principle that to be effective and sustainable, training needs to be relevant, interactive and enjoyable and through use of a wide range of media, he aims to develop knowledge, understanding and practical skills.
Delegates are encouraged and enabled to put theory into practice in the ‘safety’ of the training environment, and then to take new knowledge and skills back to the workplace and make a difference!
